Think Old World meets Art Deco meets Alice in Wonderland. The Junk boasts a unique charm with its East-West menu and collection of antiques, treasures and well, junk.
It’s not quite fine dining, but you won’t be too fussed about the lack of starched linen, polished silverware and such like, given the delish offerings on the menu.
Check out the signature asparagus prawns, delicious stirfried asparagus and prawns basking in creamy alfredo sauce.
The angel hair prawn pasta is another star. Fine al dente pasta is nestled under a heady aromatic bed of garlic, olive oil and tomato sauce, and topped with crunchy river prawns.
As befits the restaurant’s mash-up theme, even pizza gets a twist. Try the duck pizza with its super thin crust, topped with sweet chicken floss, diced cucumbers, strips of mango and finely sliced coins of smoked duck.
The staff is pleasant, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Service is attentive and on time, even during peak dining hours.
