Setting

It’s not a place that you just stumble upon, but once there, you can expect an ornate traditional setting decked out in antique furniture and an extensive menu that aims to cater to all.

Food

Although Qing Palace specialises in Cantonese and Szechuan cuisines, there is a smattering of Southeast Asian influence in some dishes. Try the signature camphor- and tea-smoked duck with its complexity of rich flavours.

Live fish such as seabass, cod and grouper can be enjoyed in one of eight styles including a delicious pan-fried version with curry leaf, and even in curry Indonesian-style or steamed with assam sauce.

The deep-fried boneless chicken is another dish with distinct Southeast Asian influences. Paired with a spicy Thai sauce, it brings quite a tasty lift to the meal.
