Straight from the kitchens of Atlantis Hotel in Dubai to Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur, guest chef Ali El Bourji will be serving authentic Lebanese foods from August 17 to 20.
The 3-day only kitchen takeover at the Mosaic all-day dining restaurant will include many crowd favourites, including everyone's favourite superfood – hommous.
Diners will have the chance to taste iconic dishes like baba ghanouj (chargrilled smoked eggplant), falafel (deep fried minced chickpea patties) and a variety of cooked lamb dishes, all specialities of Lebanese cuisine.
Besides the usual suspects, a variety of Lebanese sweets, seafood dishes, salads and soups will also be available for guests to indulge in.
Those who like watching their meat grilled in front of them will be happy to know that a live grilling station will be present, serving up dishes like lamb kofta (leg of lamb), shish taouk (chargrilled chicken breast fillets) and more.
The chef has served as the executive oriental head chef of Atlantis at The Palm since 2008 and commands almost two decades worth of cooking experience.
The Lebanese buffet experience at Mandarin Oriental is priced at RM 158 per person for lunch and RM 188 for dinner.
