If you’ve never tried Ghanaian cuisine, here’s your chance, as executive chef Phoebe Donko-Hanson of Aloft KL Sentral will be cooking and serving up a selection of her favourite dishes.
Diners can look forward to dishes like black eyed peas with palm oil, jollof rice with seafood or chicken, rice and beans, and peanut butter chicken. Also available are Ghanaian staples like boiled cocoyam, a dish consisting of taro root or yam, kelewele, a gingery peppered plantain dish, and chichinga, a Ghanaian version of kebabs.
Chef Phoebe is also cooking up a variety of sauces to give her dishes an extra layer of flavour, like shitor, an authentic chilli paste made with sautéed prawns, green pepper sauce, red pepper sauce, seasoned fried chili oil.
A Taste of Ghana will feature alongside Nook’s international dinner from now until April 30, priced at RM120 nett per person.
