Riding on the success of the royal Malaysian cuisine week presented by Chef Wan last year; Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur enters into another collaboration with the flamboyant chef.

Every day until June 25, Mosaic is turned into a grand pavilion of local and international feast with over 100 varieties of delicious delights taking centre stage.

There’s an entire station dedicated to mouthwatering local salads with achar buah manis (a sweet, sour and spicy condiment made of preserved fruits), kerabu kacang botol kelapa sangai (winged bean salad tossed with shredded coconut) and minced chicken with mint leaf salad leading the pack.

The big spread of main dishes will certainly leave you spoilt for choice. Expect a huge selection of traditional favourites in earthen pots alongside popular international cuisine featured at the grill, wok, noodle and tandoor stations.

Desserts are aplenty, but we highly recommend a trip to the Fruit Terrace, where you get to indulge in freshly-opened durian and coconut water at the outdoor terrace of Lounge on the Park. Yes, durian in a hotel! Truly a special experience.

The specially-curated Chef Wan Buka Puasa menu at Mosaic, Lounge on the Park and Diamond is available only until June 11. If you’re looking to break fast with family, friends or business associates; what better way to do it than to enjoy the signature dishes of the country’s most celebrated chef.

From a colourful selection of appetisers to satisfying soups, Chef Wan’s menu just keeps getting better as you progress from starters to mains and desserts. If you think nasi kerabu dan ayam percik, gulai kawah daging Langkawi, laksa Johor, nyonya laksa and mee rebus sound amazing; wait till you savour the kambing panggang berempah and Spanish seafood paella that will surely hit the spot.
